We had a custom built system installed that filters the water coming in the house and then an RO system mounted in the HVAC room that further filters potable water for cooking, drinking, and ice. It has a safety valve that detects if a leak develops and will valve off the RO water. It features self cleaning and softening. It has been a very nice trouble free system that has clearly been an asset to our daily living.
